by Top works by Spyridon Samaras, Pavlos Karrer, Theophrastos Sakellaridis, Nikos Skalkotas, Mikis Theodorakis and Giorgos Koumendakis compose an anthology of Greek classical music, which the Greek National Opera will present at the great international opera celebration that will be held – for the first time in Greece – on Thursday, November 13 at the “Stavros Niarchos” Hall at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre . This is the International Opera Awards ceremony , which, for thirteen years, has been rewarding exceptional operatic talents from around the world, celebrating the diverse and collaborative nature of this top art form. The soloists are the distinguished and younger soloists of the GNO Vasiliki Karagianni, Maria Kosovitsa, Dimitris Platanias and Yiannis Christopoulos . A polyphonic ensemble and the Orchestra, the Choir, members of the Ballet and the Children’s Choir of the GNO participate. Conducted by Konstantinos Terzakis .
